Two screens
Screen 1 — The Lot. Every film down here was picked by hand for the same reason: good enough to be worth your evening, not so famous that recommending it is pointless. Cult pictures, overlooked genre films, and a few that were dismissed on release and deserve better. Each one carries a note explaining why it's on the list. The deck reshuffles only once you've seen every title, so nothing repeats until you've been through all of them.
Screen 2 — The Overlook. Up on the cliff there's no projectionist. The dish pulls a film at random from TMDB's catalogue, filtered for a decent rating and enough votes to trust it, and puts it on the screen unseen. You get a real synopsis instead of a recommendation, because nobody here has vetted it. It's a wider net and a rougher one — that's the point of driving up.
Illustrated posters are original artwork made for this site. Where a real poster is available, this product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Release years and runtimes are given in good faith and vary between cuts — trust a proper film database over this site. Where you actually watch a film is up to you and your local listings.
