Name: Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients: 150g butter; 1 cup sugar; 1 egg; 2 cups flour; chocolate chips

What you need

Salt, pepper, water and oil don’t count. Mom always had those.

Cream butter and sugar, beat in the egg, fold in flour with a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda, then the chips. Bake ten to twelve minutes.

Taking them out while the middles still look wet is an act of faith you'll be rewarded for.

Out of the oven when the middle still looks soft. They set as they cool.
