Sausage Sandwich
What you need
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 sausages
- ketchup
- half an onion
Salt, pepper, water and oil don’t count. Mom always had those.
What you do
Fry the sausages until browned all over, adding sliced onion for the last five minutes. Split the sausages, load onto bread with the onions and ketchup.
How it feels to make
The onions go sweet and dark in the sausage fat and that's the whole reason to bother.
Mom wrote on the back
Split the sausages down the middle before they go in the bread. They stay put that way.
