Ingredients: 1 slice of bread; tahini; grape molasses

What you need

Salt, pepper, water and oil don’t count. Mom always had those.

Stir tahini and molasses together in a bowl until it goes glossy and pale brown, then spread thickly on warm toast.

Watching the two swirl together and suddenly turn the colour of caramel never gets old.

Mix them in a bowl first, not on the bread. It has to go smooth.
