Orange Cake
What you need
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- half cup oil
- 2 oranges
Salt, pepper, water and oil don’t count. Mom always had those.
What you do
Beat eggs and sugar, add oil, orange zest and juice, then fold in the flour with baking powder. Bake forty minutes.
How it feels to make
Zesting oranges makes the kitchen smell better than the cake eventually does.

Zest before you juice, same as the lemon one. Always.
