Strawberries with Cream
What you need
- strawberries
- 1 cup cream
- 2 spoons sugar
Salt, pepper, water and oil don’t count. Mom always had those.
What you do
Halve the strawberries, toss with half the sugar and leave twenty minutes to go syrupy. Whip the cream with the rest and spoon over.
How it feels to make
The strawberries make their own syrup while they sit, and that's the best part of the bowl.

Sugar the strawberries early and leave them. The juice they make is the sauce.
