Name: One-Bowl Chocolate Cake
Ingredients: 1½ cups flour; 1 cup sugar; 4 spoons cocoa; 1 cup milk; half cup oil

What you need

Salt, pepper, water and oil don’t count. Mom always had those.

Whisk everything in one bowl with a spoon of vinegar and a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda. Pour into a lined tin and bake thirty-five minutes.

No mixer, no creaming, no fuss — just a bowl and a wooden spoon and a cake at the end.

Don't overmix. Stop the second the flour disappears.
